UNDISPUTED: Skip and Shannon react to Former Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas passes away at age 33 By UNDISPUTED: Skip and Shannon

https://www.youtube.com/embed/O7TfWT1ar8U

Various Thomas has passed away at the age of 33. The former pro bowler was found dead in his home in Georgia where he was born and raised the Broncos. Released a statement about the passing mourning, the loss of quote, an incredible player and a special person. Shannon. What are your thoughts?

This one hit me a little differently because I had a very personal relationship with a TT. Hmm. From dating to win 2012. Yep. As a matter of fact, I was when they signed Peyton I was I think I was out there either a day later or two days later. I was talking to him Eric Decker. I forget the other receiver and I think Julius Thomas. Yeah, and I was telling them how their lives were about to change and I said the expectations level now is going to ramp up.

Because when pain comes is Super Bowl and also they were coming off the tee, but they would come at the table in the table layout but not. Yes. Yeah. Skill people, the first round draft pick. He was a lot of the first receiver taken in that Tebow. Draft ahead of Dez. Bryant, correct when he s to 24th, he got injury early in his career and a lot of got a lot of people thought he was going to be a bust and that was concerning a him and I said, look your life is about to change. Just be ready. I say you need to drop a few pounds and be ready to play football. Be ready to

Play at a fast pace and and his life did change. He would take those. Jailbreak screen, smoke screens, and he’d get to hit his head on the goal post. He was he was when you mentioned great receivers in that in his era. He was right there with Julio. He was right there with Des right? You are the O and D team. Those frayed Your Greens, the first four years with Peyton. Those numbers are up off the charts off the charts, get up, because they’re up there with numbers. Put up only by Marvin Harrison and Torry Holt and of course Jerry Rice.

Over a four-year stretch. Yes, that’s that’s, that’s how good he was, and Skip there and doing that stretch. I would talk to him all the time, managing expectations, what the expectations were, how how he needed to be. And always, don’t always just look at the stat line. Find other ways that you can contribute, even though you’re not catching 12 13 passes in the game and he was able to win, you know, win that Super Bowl, win a Super Bowl Super Bowl 50, and he started to have some little nagging injuries as age started to sit in even though he was not an old man.

Man passing at the age of 33. DT. Really. And talking to him. And I hadn’t talked to him in a while. And we have a very mutual friend that said, she hadn’t, you need to reach out to DT. I said, well, you know, what’s going on? He’s like, she had and he’s not doing well Jed. I talked to him and he says not doing well. And I said, okay, I’ll talk to him. And then when I got this news last night, remember, just sitting, I was sitting on my bed. I was just thinking

I had two months.

To reach out to him. Yep, two months.

And now I’m never going to get that opportunity.

And I think that’s what besides his passing is that I had an opportunity to see to ask DC. What’s going on, bro. What can I do? Because they look.

He looked at me, like I was a big brother because I was in Denver, the fans and Denver, love me having one. They’re trying to help him navigate, Denver.

It just it just happened so quick. Skip, it just happened so quickly. I just cannot believe that DT Kong. It sounds like according to many of his friends and family.

He was in a bad car wreck about a year ago, and he started to have seizures did based on the injuries. Suffered in the car wreck. Yeah, and that they think not sure that a seizure got him this time, right? Because one of his closest friends said, he was in the shower and it looked like he had suffered a seizure in the shower. So that was he and they were telling me that, you know, he had brought his family lot closer because he was like, he didn’t like being alone because the seizures were the seizures were happening with greater regularity.

And with greater with greater frequency and with greater tenacity. And so he was like afraid of being alone. He didn’t like being alone. And man, when I got this note. Skip, I saw it on Twitter and I started like I see many people play too much, kind of like the Kobe situations keep I did, too. I thought I surely this, right? And I’m like, man, people, you know, people sometimes they take stuff like this like to farm answer is that it’s not real and you’d like Shannon. Did you hear you’re here? I’m like nah sound. So, you know what? I’m gonna fall. I’m gonna call somebody that know that he and I both know.

No. Yep, and he said, yeah. Yeah, it’s true, man. Is it’s heartbreaking, man. 33 years of age.

Heartbreaking was the optimum expression from all the ex-teammates on Twitter, many of them, probably not as close to him as you were, but I continue to see and hear last night, great player, but an even better, it was a man and teammate and that’s the ultimate expression that if something has to go on your Tombstone. That’s the essence of what should go on your Tombstone and if you

Back at his life and times, his mom ended up going to prison when he was 10. He had to fight through that. And then he decides, he’s great, high school, basketball and football player and a sprinter. He was a big strong tall Sprinter, who ran the 100-meter dash in high school at a high level. So he goes to Georgia, Tech grew up in the Atlanta area, obviously. And with Lauren Wentworth Lawrence High School, but about 35 40 minutes from Macon south of Macon, okay.

He goes to play for Chan Gailey. He you know very well my offensive coordinator when I first got to Denver so he goes to Georgia Tech play for him because they’re going to throw the football and then a year in, he’s out and Paul Johnson comes in and you know, what they do, they just run it and run it and run it right. Just Wishbone you to death, your pal option, you to death and all of a sudden, Damaris is stuck in his system. But what are you doing? You’re not going to get that many opportunities, but it didn’t stop him because when he began to test after his last

They’re combine and all the workouts. He’s off to charge a man and John Elway and Company. They just said him got to get him. Right? And so they taking the first receiver in the draft at 22. And as I said, then Des goes 24 and Tebow goes 25th. And what is the all time signature play? What is the most electric moment I’ve ever experienced in the postseason faster, though, teeth.

In the history and still is in the history of pro football. If we could, please see it is. Tebow against the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime. Boom. Right on the button and guess who’s Off to the Races number? 88. Yep, and does he not wear 88? Well, he does looks good on him. And that was a shocking. A moment as I have ever witnessed and the rules had changed, but I wasn’t sure for a second. What the rules were does that mean? It’s over? Yeah, it was. Okay. Whoa, so that became

If I’m not mistaken skip that might have been the first one where you needed a touchdown. And now your field goal you did with touchdown. They had just changed. Yeah, so it took me a second to compute. Wait a second. They don’t get the ball back. No Bailey the ball back and so that became a signature for him. But he made five Pro bowls and then he had those four great years with Peyton and he became a notice, it’s hard to know to project out. But I think he’s got a good shot to be a Hall of Fame receiver.

Well, he would have been had, he had, he had gotten, paid had Peyton, probably three or four more years, maybe but then you know, he had, you know, had Trevor sent me and he had some other guys. Yep. And then you know, the Broncos were you know, he started having some nagging injuries and he wasn’t that productive receiver and he mice it myself, DT and Rod. We used to joke all the time. Well, who’s the best receiver? He’s like I’m taking all you guys record that I’m taking all your grip it like nah, you still not gonna be us and you know, he got he like I’m missing what you guys have with you, the Super Bowls my numbers going to be.

Killed, I just need to get that Super Bowl, man, Skip and we got invited back. The Broncos, asked myself, a scrod. I think Alfred Williams. I think we were the three guys of the form of Super Bowl teams that came back and we help present the guys with their rings. So we were there for the ceremonies and just to see the adulation on their face to see Peyton. And to see the Von Miller then DT. Yeah. I mean, I would just hugging d.c. Abroad. I’m happy for you. I say you did it. You know, you told me you’re gonna get you one. And so you got one. So, now you’re in the club with myself.

Finn Rod, the great receiver that we’re here at the Broncos, but skip, I just I just I just can’t believe it. I mean, it’s it doesn’t. I remember laying? I was laying down last night. I’m thinking 33, 33 34 on Christmas Day. I think, come on, deity. And man. I just isn’t going to solve. Yeah, and yet bottom line to, this was back on September 26th. He did get to go back to Denver.

They honored him on that that Sunday. So at least he did get to experience that. Yeah, and he’s going to be a, he’s gonna be a ring of Famer. He’s gonna, he’s gonna go down. It was an all-time Bronco a long time break. Yeah. And deservingly. So he put the time and he put the work in. I’m proud of the, the player that he became. I’m proud of the man that he became. And it’s just, you know, Bronco country. I am, we’re all heartbroken. But this to his family, his friends to get, everybody didn’t know him.

I thoughts and prayers go out to you. God, Rest his soul and his memory will live on through those beautiful story Shannon like you were sharing our thoughts and prayers are with Damaris is family during this time or Undisputed after the break.

So Shannon on a scale of 1 to 10, how disappointing is 1515 the grizzled route without two of the three, best players job Morant their best player. He’s out with an injury Dillon Brooks is in health and safety protocols. He’s the probably third best player behind Jaren, Jackson II, don’t know, it’s closed between those two, right? Reverend Dillon Brooks can really DUI deal and he goes for the bathroom. He is tough. But we, you would agree that without two of their three best starters. Absolutely. And the Lakers are at 4th Street. They had been playing

A lot better over the last say, 45 ball game. I mean, they still don’t have Kendrick none or whatever reason but go ahead, that’s not any of their top, five players, those guys that you’ve got. We’re mentioned. All right, and to lose the ball. Again, it what, what? Reared? Its head last night, turnovers Turtle. Skip you had 22, turnovers, you had 16 of the 20 2. K 44 players. LeBron had five runs has 600 a.d. Mellow.

Really? Those are your big guns. Those are your big guns. You had a level 11 turn. If you get away with 11 turnovers in a game, you like? Okay, we playing pretty good. They had 11 in the first half and not to be outdone in the second half this. If we gonna give you another level, they did. We talk about it skipped. It’s kind of like a football team. If your football team, if you have a terrible defense, the last thing your apis can do is turn the ball over and put them right back out there. The Lakers are horribly horrible defensively and what do they do to exacerbate the situation?

You turn the ball over. You can see we got an outstanding defense offense, turned the ball over. We go, hold you at the end. So you’re not gonna get you. Maybe you might get three. We’re probably going to push you out of field goal range. The Lakers are terrible defensively again, the
