hi this is Regina smola of WP security lock.com and I have a quick WordPress security tip for you I recommend to all WordPress users that you install and scan the Tim thumb vulnerability scanner plug-in you can find it over at the wordpress.org plug-in repository the author’s name is Peter Butler and he’s from code garage.com it’s an excellent excellent plug in this plug-in will scan your site for themes and plugins that are using outdated vulnerable him from Scripps so I have that is all of my sight here and I’m inside my dashboard you can find the scan Tim thumb scanner link located underneath tools on the website bar

and what this plug-in does is it has a button that you can manually scan your site right now to see if you have any version of Tim thumb prior to 2.8 point to which contains a back door and it also tells you what the current version of Tom Thumb is with the latest updates from the Tim from script which currently is 2.8 Point ten at the time of the video the one she run the scan it will show you down below here if you have any instances of Tim thumb and what version they currently are and if they’re outdated if you find one here that is outdated you can actually check next to it which I don’t have any on this site but you could check next to it and click upgrade selected files and it will upgrade your Plug-In or themes Tim from script to the latest safest version

the other thing that’s really cool about this plug-in and Peter just recently added it to this plug-in is there’s an option blank up here now you can click on the options link and put a checkmark as soon as it loads here but check mark next to automatically run this skin daily it will run daily scans to see if you have an outdated Tim some virus or outdated Tim some scripts to just click on submit query and you’re done
