hello in this Google Calendar tutorial we are going to focus on the difference between an event a reminder and a task and so what’s going to jump right in there I mean notice if you click on the create button you have a few options now today we’re just going to focus on an event a reminder on the task and another video will hit appointment slots an out-of-office so for example in advance what is the difference between an event reminder and task an event is usually something that I’m going to meet with other people where I might need to add guess or it’s going to be there a significant amount of time right maybe you might have meant is I’m working on my presentation that could be categorized under a vent or maybe I want to put that under task but an event one of the benefits if I can have a start time and end time I can add guess I can add a location on the other hand if I want to do a reminder

then a reminder or something maybe I just need to remind for like call PG&E that can be a very simple reminder it’s something that maybe I want to I want to do one time or maybe I just want to remind every day I need to check the mail Now reminder may be similar to tasks but the difference is with tasks what I can do is I can add actually multiple subtasks under there and you might not see that here if I’m adding it this way it’s only kind of show you maybe in the calendar view for example this right here with the little finger on it is a reminder I can tell because it’s this color blue here and if I’m look over here it’s this color blue as well this is just going to be notified and a reminder that hey you need to do something versus this task I can click on this cash right here and I can see where it is I can mark it as complete for here but however if I look over here on tasks on this little blue pencil I can actually see that this task has other sub

apps under it the other great thing about task is I can actually add a calendar event so I can click on there and I’ll take me right to the calendar and the event I can actually also add emails which I would do from the email so task let your kind of Mark that these have been completed also boom it’s completed you can see it’s done and will now show up on the bottom actually I can’t juggle completed tasks right here past that I’ve actually completed and so it actually keep track of those things like test that I completed versus a reminder it’s not going to keep track of it in the same way it’s just going to be on my calendar so again in the van is something I usually want to invite somebody else too or it’s Panza a certain amount of time a reminder is typically going to be like oh I need a reminder to do this at task in fact doesn’t even have to have a day or a time it can just be something that I want to do depending upon where I add it from so like here if I just go ahead

and dumb add a task I can go ahead and click down here and hide the complete a task and add a task look I don’t have to have her a time to do it it doesn’t have to be added to my calendar hopefully that will help you with a little bit of the difference between events reminders and tasks and you can use them appropriately to manage your workflow remember you can re-watch this as needed I hope this helps have a great day
