WordPress bundle Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails

in this video tutorial you’ll learn how to show recent posts with thumbnails in WordPress

WordPress has the option to display your recent posts as a widget like this here but as you can see it doesn’t display the featured image or the thumbnail of this post if you want to display your recent posts with thumbnails then first you need to install and activate the recent posts widget with thumbnail plug-in I’ve already installed it but if you need help installing a plugin on your website we have a video explaining how to install a plug-in I’ll link in the description below

first let’s go to appearance and then click on which its

now remove this recent post widget

and drag and drop the recent post with thumbnail widget on your side bar

give this widget a title

and then choose how many posts you want to show from here

now if you want a post link to open in a new tab then check this and check this so that when a user has a post open then that post will not be shown on the sidebar

next choose how you want to order these posts

I’m going to choose random so that whenever you use a refreshes the page different posts are shown

then you can choose how you want to sort them from here

scroll down to the author section

and you can enable this to show the post offer

then here you can enable this to show the post categories

and if you want to show the post date then enable this

now scroll all the way down and click on Save

and let’s go to the site I’m just going to reload this page
