and you can find this PDF converter block which will appear here only if you have installed that PDF converter plug in so let’s click on this so let’s click and upload a PDF file
let’s name of a post as PDF

and publish

Honorable business Unfortunately, I was not able to get the plugin working properly mainly due to my lack of expertise, however, they were more than willing to give a full refund. It is very good to know you can trust doing business with this company.
Latest version is broken (multiple versions) Latest version results in PDFs that are only partially rendered with none of the font based content showing. Note I’ve upgraded the rating to 3 stars (from 2) as the problem is not quite as simple as I originally thought. It’s not just the latest version that is broken as I’ve tried a roll-back and I am seeing problems on all of them (with some PDFs).
Might seem odd to ‘increase’ star count given that but – this plugin was working and is now not working on multiple sites with certain PDFs (i.e. old posts on site used to display properly, now without changing content, they no longer work). The fact that reverting the plugin did not fix it implies there is likely something in the overall dependency tree breaking things. Ultimately it is the end user experience that matters but it did not quite seem fair to drop to 2 stars when it is not as simple as a version upgrade for the plugin breaking it.
“Not compatible with the latest version of WordPress” This was a great plugin but looks abandoned. It hasn’t been updated in 5 months. Shame because it was an amazing plugin.
Secure Version Not Very Secure I paid for the “Secure” version of this plugin…
The pdf direct download link is in plain text in the page source and post headers (pdfemb-serveurl) 🙁
Instructions say uploading the PDF in the securepdfs/ folder ensures security and enabling the secure settings creates a backdoor path, not so. I was able to directly access the file from a browser without using a referrer header and download the file. A content Bot would have no issues scraping PDFs.
Caveat Emptor
On a positive note, the plugin does have a small memory footprint, that should help with page load speed 🙂
Almost great It has a problem with already uploaded media. My website has around 70 pdf files in the uploads section but none of them appear when selecting a pdf. I need to download each pdf one by one and upload them again.
Otherwise it looks great, I hope they fix this one flaw
Is not working! Each time any user opens the page where pdf embedder is located, or browser tries to download pdf, or interface to look at pdf is visible… but won’t show pdf!
Masquerades as a one time purchase… until checkout. Throughout the site the price of the premium version is listed as $20. That is, until checkout. Only the are you informed that there’s a reoccurring charge.
Doesn’t work It’s that simple. It gives an error with the short code. Maybe because I am working in a page builder and it only works in Gutenberg?
WARNING NOT WORKING WITH SAFARI 15 There is a problem that the plugin does not work with Safari 15 resulting in pages not displaying at all which is not good!
I have reported the issue over 1 month ago without resolution.
(In desperation I tried the PDFjs Viewer which works fine without issue)
I would no recommend this plugin.
Great way to display PDFs I have many PDF files that I would rather display in a post instead of provide a link. The information is more immediately available to the reader and the page looks better. This plugin works well. Thanks for the plugin.
