Two factor does not process with mail It’s almost difficult to handle the two-factor process with using an e-mail-adress. Sometimes there is an code in the target-mail-account, but tho most time, I’m waiting for an answer. Could you help me?
Goood Good plugin, deny alot of brutal attact
Not suited for e-commerce sites This module locked out admins and customers following a site upgrade.
May be used by millions, but is not suitable for sites with many users such as e-commerce sites. Once banned a user cannot be unbanned, there is no admin GUI to do this, not even with the required SQL skills. Only quick solution : deactivate and uninstall, clean .htaccess if you can and look for protection elsewhere.
Real danger here.
After activation of iThemes Security the whole website was blocked I tried to install and activate iThemes Security 8.0.2 and after activation the whole website was blocked with 500 Internal Server Error. My webserver is on php 7.4.0-128m Safe-mode off. The wp installation is pretty new. I deactivated every other plugin and tried to activate iThemes Security again. Result err 500 !!!
Love the plugin, dont like the interface I love the functionality and it work really good, but the interface and dashboard widget needs work, wish it had a compact streamline view as for instant Wordfence
Bring back the old version, please! Bring back the old version, please!
10x more complicated It was the easiest Security plugin. Now with the new “assistant” I can’t figure out what you mean. It’s 20 clicks instead of the former 1 click. It worked. Not it kinda works, but it’s much more complicated this way. The overview was awesome, now I can’t figure out where to find what. :-/
I guess I’ll have to switch the security plugin. I can’t cope with this nonsense..
Another 1 star I was surprised how limited the new version is…such a total downgrade.
Used to like it a lot before…but now time has come for a change.
Translations only in free version I really like the plug-in so I bought the pro version to have also the 2FA functions. I even contributed with some translation text for 2FA of the free plug-in on WordPress.org and helped in getting the Dutch translation percentage of the plug-in above 90% so a translation package was published on WordPress.org, 3 days ago (November 7th).
Quite disappointed to hear from iThemes support ‘As for the translation issue, We do not offer any translations for Security Pro/iThemes Products.’, I thought I got an upgrade and didn’t realize for the translations I paid for a downgrade.
Use to be great I’ve used this app for security on past wordpress installations but the new update made it just useless. I can’t set up the plugin! I always just get “No route was found matching the URL and request method.” no matter what. I hope they go back to how it use to be and get rid of the set up wizard. I’m uninstalling on my other sites and going to have to find a security plugin that works. It would be fine if they let you set up the plugin like usual but you can’t the wizard is the only way. Or maybe just use an old version of the plugin
