and what you’ll see is right below the text editor editor area
you’ll see oh add script so if a script whether it’s an exit pop-up or redirect or whatever says put this line of code in the header you would simply put it in this box if it says put it in the footer you would put it in this box and what’s great about this code of this plug-in is that WordPress recognizes that this is supposed to be here and it won’t alter it so that’s a big problem that has been resolved with this plugin
or if you ever need to come back to it you can go down to settings insert headers and Footers to configure now from here you’ll have to decide where the software that you’re installing it usually a JavaScript where they’re asking you to put it if they’re wanting you to put in the header then you can put it up here if they want to if they want you to put it just before the body closing then that goes down here so let me quickly show you how you can do that for instance if you want to install Pinterest pins on your site then you have to have this bit of script installed throughout your website so I’m just going to grab this and this is just for an example if you really need to activate Pinterest on your site than you can watch our video on how to do that here so I’m going to grab this Petticoat you see that it’s asking us to do it just before the closing body tag so that means I want to put it in my Footers area I’m going to highlight this and copy
and then we’ll head back over but in these groups in the Footers right click and paste that and now that that’s pasted now it’s available on all of my sight the other two methods require changing out your theme and so it’s a little bit difficult to maintain for instance if you’re doing it in the theme you’ll have to go into header and footer and actually change those pieces of code some other themes provide you with an area that you can fill out but the problem with these two methods is if you ever change out your theme then this Petticoat is no longer on your site and might break whatever it is that you’re trying to use and that is why we recommend using the insert headers and Footers which is a very simple and easy to use plug in that won’t back down your sight just a super easy way to add header and footer code into your WordPress website and thanks for watching
that code is going to show an all campaigns so now if we were to view this site and we looked at the code
you can see there’s a Facebook pixel and the Google analytics code already in here now if you had different campaign for different products and you wanted to use different Google analytics code or or Facebook pixels or it might even be like a heat map code or something like that then I’m just going to remove those codes from their save the scripts so there’s nothing in there and by the way if you want to add something like an HTML in the Footers of all campaigns then you could do that right in this area right here so maybe a footer links or something all the links are the same you could do that but you can do these campaigns specific as well so if we were to go into campaign a here and you want me to paste in that Google analytics code then you would come down to the header footer scripts for this page only
now I can just paste that code into this header area right here scroll down and hit save settings and then view the page
and we could click in to look at our page source and you’ll see it once again has been added in
so that’s how easy it is to add any kind of tracking scripts or or if you heat maps to any of your pages
