Up-to-date I can finally use the latest version of Font Awesome. I tried another plugin which claimed to be ‘always up to date’, but it wasn’t.

I upgraded to Pro because I thought it would speed up my site with their SVGs and the kit. My site load time went from 8 seconds to 20 seconds! If I deactivate the plugin to remove FA my site loads in 3 seconds. I know HTML and CSS so I know what I am doing here.
I have spent 2 months trying to figure out their documentation when I can figure out other programming languages in a couple days. The documentation is vague and not intuitive. Their customer support is equally as bad with one sentence answers that don’t answer the question.
I think I might just go without icons to speed up might site. I want my money back!
The best Font Awesome plugin I operate multiple (double digits) sites and have tried a host of Font Awesome plugins – none of them works as effectively as this one, the official one. Very simple but it just does what itâs designed to do – many thanks …
Incompatible with page builder After hours and hours of investigation and dead ends, I discovered that it is the Font Awesome plugin that causes Elementor and Elementor Pro editors to grey screen. Why, I do not know! Disabled the plugin and my site works fine again.
Works Sometimes I have 2 sites that are almost identical running on the same server environment. On one site I’m able to enable the plugin and on the other I get this error: “The Font Awesome plugin caught a fatal error: Font Awesome could not be activated.”
It’s maddening.
Poor patronising customer service Font didnt work within the plugin it was linked to and then when I asked them about it, was told I wont help you unless you pay, read the instructions or ask the forum. Thats like me going into a shop and being told I will only answer your question if you give me money, but read the the tag info or ask another customer.

Just works, quick and simple Allowed simple linking to my pro kits on Font Awesome. Simple and quick to use.
Unresponsive Tech Support / No Refunds Allowed I purchased FontAwesome PRO, but it would not work with my theme. I contacted tech support several times for assistance. At first they tried to help, but when their solutions didn’t solve the problem, they quit responding. Furthermore, they refused to refund the $99 I had paid for PRO saying, “We don’t give refunds for downloadable commercial software.” Well, you have to download it to try it. And if it doesn’t work, and their tech support can’t provide a solution, it stands to reason that a refund is in order.
I finally challenged the charge with my credit card company and got the refund, but it took a lot of time and effort on my part. I’m a website designer and have never had this type of issue with a plugin developer. Needless to say, I won’t be buying the PRO version of FontAwesome for any future projects.
