WordPress bundle Advanced Custom Fields

when I create a custom Dynamic website but can’t write a single line of code all your worries are now over everyone can see from Elementor here in this tutorial you’ll learn how to add Dynamic content with Elementor page builder without using a single line of code to get started just be sure you already downloaded the ACs plug-in version 5 and up then you’re good to go. so the next step is to prepare a post and fill in the fields we created with a c f I already created my post so let’s dive in and see how to integrate them with Elementor come on let’s go under Elementor click my templates click add new to create a new template but I already prepared a single post template so let’s click on edit with Elementor here

the preview to post click the settings Cog and under previous settings start typing a post name let’s go with this one cool here’s our post now you can see the contact information box filled with the familiar icon box widget and a video area over here on the right is our familiar video widget

let’s start with a contact information Fields click on Dynamic on the top right scroll down and click on ACS field click on it again and other key to the doctor’s phone number we also have the option to add a before or after text let’s type phone in the before field so go to Advanced before and type phone good job I can tell you’re getting the hang of it now let’s do the same for the remaining Fields email and address

moving on to the video Let’s click on the dynamic icon under the URL and choose the URL field that’s like on the field again and under key choose the video URL

for the image overlay let’s open the options and click on the dynamic icon Tuesday image field and quick key again and she’s your field that’s it all our field that means if I display a different post here but say this one it has the same design only with different information

what is Advanced custom fields

Advanced custom Fields is a WordPress plugin which allows you to add content fields to your WordPress edit screen these extra content fields are more commonly referred to as custom fields and can allow you to build websites faster and educate your clients quicker Advanced custom Fields comes in two versions there is a free version and a pro version the pro version is around 75 to $100

the basics of custom fields and fields are native to WordPress and appear on pages post and custom post types however the native custom field interface is not very intuitive

as you can see in these pictures with a c f installed you can tailor What fields to show and what they look like for instance you may require a hero image to be selected for your homepage you can use a c f to easily create this image field and show it when editing the homepage

the next field trip I’m going to show you how to do is the Texas area in the Texas area is basically multi-line text is very very similar to The Standard text field and you can add it by just clicking on ADD field put in the description author I label and you can change the field talk-to-text area once you click update it will automatically add that to your home page and then you can add in whatever you’d like so in this instance I’m going to paste in some lorem ipsum text which has four different paragraphs and it’s it so clearly it’s in a paragraph format and then will click on update we go to the front page and refresh it’s obviously not showing anything yet because we need to bring that. It into a template so at the top of that front page the page p

template we just want to create a variable I’m going to call it description will do get filled and then we just need to put the ID which is description

we then underneath the title we can just type in PHP if description

and then I’ll close the page pay if tags and if and within there we’ll just do HPI code description

so this should automatically show us the paragraph format text refresh what’s happened when we go into our admin section the description description field has paragraph takes as four different paragraphs but then when we click into the front end it doesn’t why is that well the text area is saved in the databases plaintext so Al browser does not know how to read it and put it in a paragraph format because it’s not being saved is HTML format the way around this with the Texas area would be to do a PHP function to make it to stay like that to do that or you’d have to do is use the function and L2 BR which stands for new line to break and that will automatically translate the new lines in the plane takes two breaks so if we go into the code

and have a little you notice the no actually paragraphs that actually just got breaks here between each paragraph so technically it’s not a paragraph and that might cause a problem for you when it comes to maybe styling your text so that’s where that what you see is what you get editor comes into play and we’ll learn about that in the next video so that is the textarea thank you
