most if you’ve ever grab the newspaper printed newspaper and used a magnifying glass you can see the tiny little dots that’s in the newspaper print for specifically a phone and this little dots are called pixels and essentially Graphics such as png’s jpegs and things of that nature those pixels are those dots are fixed and you can fudge them meaning you can either blow them up or stretch them about 15% shrink them about 15% before you start seeing visible degradation or loss of quality in the image however a scalable Vector graphic the vector portion of it means a mathematical equation so really what this is is the text file with a bunch of code essentially in it and that code is translated into a digital representation of a graphic the problem with svg’s as you can in bed by
assistant you can bet all kinds of really bad things in your sights and by default word press will not allow you to upload an SVG file without a plugin and if you’re going to use One S safe SBG is an inexpensive and free plug-in that’s lightweight that’s a great choice for that so we’ve gone ahead and included it all you have to do is to activate it is to click the activate button and as soon as you do that it is ready to be used now you can go ahead and upgrade it to be honest with you I’ve never personally clicked on it to upgrade it but this is the site I’m not exactly sure what the features are in the paid version of it but I’ve always been able to simply just upload my SVG in my WordPress website and I’ll have to pay for it and as a matter fact I don’t even see an opportunity to to to buy it even here interesting so nah nah
plus if it is if there is a paid version of it it’s not very easy to find and I’m sure you can buy it some way but in any event the free version is good enough and should suffice all you have to do is activate the plug-in that’s it for this video seeing the next one
the letters s v g stand for scalable vector graphics and this is fundamentally different from other image formats because she is the only one that is vector-based this means it will preserve its quality and no matter how big or small the images is one of the most flexible finish types of their fortunately SVG to work is quite simple
in this video I’m going to use the SVG support Plumbing which enables this particular image format and ask support for it to your media library the process is simple you just need to install and activate the plug-in as usual and then you’ll be able to add ice ages there were present
however there are two more settings you might want to change depending on your needs
first off let’s go to the settings svg’s support them
inside you’ll find two options the first turn on the plugins advanced mode which way to Target your SATs with CSS if you don’t want to animate your ass then you can skip this option
second you can also restrict the ability to upload messages to administrators only by enabling the restricted to administrators feature
that’s why I talk to you segs are one of the most interesting in his pants you can use on your website not only does their scalability make them a good option for responses that you can also animate them so they can substitute for cheese in certain situations actually you can use this web-based app called asked me to deter spectragraphics without touching a single line of code or css
and then you can export and upload that affect the traffic to run present site like so
it looks great right let me know what you think about using this kind of image on your WordPress website in the comments section below and then feel free to check out other WordPress tutorials as well see you in the next video
Solved-SVG’s cannot be exported & imported into Divi page builder layouts So i’ve been using this for while since i switched to using a lot of svg’s on my websites but iv noticed that although it allows svg’s to be uploaded to the library but when i export & import my divi theme and builder page layout on to different domains or subdomains then the SVG’s don’t even get uploaded onto th library even when the layout gets exported and imported- this means only png’s and jpg’s are get uploaded leaving behind the SVG which makes me think if they were ever exported into the layout to start with.
So the logic i followed whilst testing this was pretty straight forwards . i had the plugin enabled at all times whilst exporting the layout and then first thing i did was enable it on the other website before importing the divi library layout or even the divi page export layout for that matter. This issue only exists when importing & exporting layouts between different domains and never within the same domain itself.
This really left me in a fix and i experienced hours of frustration finding my svg’s and uploading them separately into the new website and then relinking them with the new url’s.
Any help and suggestions are much appreciated. I wrote to ET about this as well but they replied that since the function of SVG is controlled by the Safe svg plugin id just have to raise this issue with you.
Also if the developer can be kind enough to let me know if the free version allows for inline Gutenberg block builder usage of the svg or if this issue that i’m having is because im using this free version of this plugin.
UPDATED – SOLVED – 30 MINS LATER-
I can now officially confirm that iv received the green signal from Divi support itself that this is a Divi problem and they’re trying to fix it. So sorry if i caused any inconvenience but please delte this review as im not getting any option to do so. Although iv converted my review to a five star so it doesnt really affect the credibility of this wonderful plugin.
Highly recommended This plugin adds SVG support to WordPress in the most natural way. No configuration needed â simply upload and use SVG graphics as you would upload and use JPEG, PNG and GIF images.
A must for WP Just loved the plugin. Used it on a couple of website. Never failed me.
Thanks to the developers who did a wonderful job.
Great SVG plugin Great little plugin, ideal for displaying SVG brand logo images as part of a logo wall. Seems to work fine with Divi and WP 5.6. Thanks developers!
WordPress Must-Have One of the first plugin to install on WP, very useful!
no more png for backgrounds I struggled modifying my PNGs in order not to lose pixelation, to no avail, until I discovered this plugin. Now all my graphics are SVGs and there’s no turning back!
One little feature request though: make the image size appear in the media library list screen, as other images format do.
Works out of the box Very happy to find this plugin. I’ve found it works out of the box and helps add nice logos to my website. Thank you!
Easiest and safest implementation of SVG ever This is the plugin that I have been waiting for. Adding SVG implementation in easy way with full support of Gallery thumbnails. Plugin is doing the rest in securing SVG/XML code to avoid exploits. Great.
No issues when working with cache plugins like W3 Total Cache and CloudFlare.
Needs update I heard about this plugin from a top WordPress tips website, only to find WordPress warning me that it might be unsafe due to being untested on WordPress 5.5. Please update for WordPress 5.5!
Should be default in WP WP should incorporate this plugin asap. SVG support is now common everywhere and we still have to rely on a plugin that is no longer maintained and is clearly the best IMHO.
